We were tinkering around in the shop over the weekend and made a couple business card holders. The one on the left is made from Heartwood Pine, the other is locally sourced hand cut Ash. The Heartwood Pine was felled in the 1800’s and spent a decade at the bottom of a river. This wood is highly sought after and quite beautiful. The Ash is from a tree on a farm next door. No complicated joinery or advanced mathematics in the production of either of these but who cares, they were fun to make and look nice. Enjoy!
