We purchased a bear cub photo at a local art/craft fair and desired to create a rustic frame to house it in. Luckily, we have a bunch of barn wood reclaimed from a 110 year old barn just up the road. The frame is oak and left with the natural weathering. Simple, mitered corners and rabbeted photo inlay. The photo is 5×7 matted to 8×10.
Insider tip: you can save a lot of money on framing hardware purchasing old frames from consignment shops and Goodwill; we paid .50 cents for all the hardware used in this frame, including the glass.
